Wesolok D
More dispersible large-particle colloidal alumina for fiber binding
Wesolok D alumina rigidizer is a more dispersible, larger particle size colloidal alumina than regular Wesolok. It is a powder, ready for fast dispersion in fiber slurries for bonding fiber shapes that are more refractory and safer to use than colloidal silicas.

Wesolok D offers these advantages

No pre-dispersing or aging - Can be added dry to vacuum forming fiber slurries without pre-dispersing or aging, saving extra steps and equipment costs.
Withstands Higher Temperatures - High purity alumina provides low reactivity and can be used to replace colloidal silica where greater refractoriness at use temperatures is required.
Flocs with Cationic Starch - The lower surface charge of the alumina particles enables them to floc successfully with cationic starch.
No Cristobalite - Completely cristobalite free at use temperature, eliminating a common source of thermal shrinkage and health-related concerns.
