Wesolok D | |
More dispersible large-particle alumina for fiber bonding and rigidizing
Wesolok D alumina rigidizer is a more dispersible, larger particle size colloidal alumina than regular Wesolok. It is a powder ready for fast dispersion in water at 20 to 30% concentration to give stable colloidal alumina sols for rigidizing fiber shapes that are more refractory and safer to use than colloidal silicas, with less migration.
|
|
Fast Dispersing — | Alumina sols of
20-30% concentration can easily be prepared with minimal mixing |
Withstands Higher Temperatures — | High purity alumina
provides for low reactivity and can be used to replace colloidal silica
where greater refractoriness at use temperatures is required. |
Rapid, Deeper Absorption — | The larger particle
size, with its lower surface change and viscosity, absorbs rapidly and deeply
for through rigidizing. |
No Cristobalite — | Completely cristobalite
free at use temperature, eliminating a common source of thermal shrinkage
and health-related concerns. |
