Wesolok D
Highly dispersible large-particle colloidal alumina for rigidizing
Wesolok D alumina rigidizer is a more dispersible, larger particle size colloidal alumina than regular Wesolok. It is a powder, ready for fast dispersion in water at 20 to 30% concentration to give stable colloidal alumina sols for rigidizing fiber shapes that are more refractory and safer to use than colloidal silicas.

Wesolok D offers these advantages

Temperature Grade
1700°C (3092°F).
Coverage
100 – 200 square feet per gallon
Fast Dispersing
Alumina sols of 20-30% concentration can easily be prepared with minimal mixing.
Withstands Higher Temperatures
High purity alumina provides for low reactivity and can be used to replace colloidal silica where greater refractoriness at use temperatures is required.
Rapid, Deeper Absorption
The larger particle size, with its lower surface change and viscosity, absorbs rapidly and deeply for thorough rigidizing.
No cristobalite
Completely silca free, eliminating a common source of thermal shrinkage problems and health-related concerns.
